About

Crystal Stapleton is the founder of Alacrity Recovery Solutions.

POSITIVE Alacrity is defined as the skill to consistently deliver micro-experiences that have a profoundly uplifting impact on the people we interact with. This is our goal and mission statement.

A Passion For Bringing Change

Crystal Stapleton, originally from Toronto, Ontario moved to BC in 2011 to follow her desire to become an addictions counselor and work with others who have a desire to seek change from their current lifestyle choices. After moving to BC, Crystal attended Vancouver Community College and received a certificate diploma in the addictions counselling certification skills program and has been upgrading her skills in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioural coaching ever since.

Over the years, Crystal has worked the front lines for Safe Ride on the Downtown East side. Since 2014, she has also worked as an addictions counselor at St. Leonards society, a federally funded halfway house for men, located in North Vancouver.

Crystal has over 10 years experience helping recovering/recovered individuals who have gone through treatment. Using her own personal experience with recovery in 2011, Crystal is now using her life experience and specialized training to help others achieve their goals. She understands the struggles of the before, during and after moments of the recovery process.

A Custom Solution to Addictions Recovery

Alacrity Recovery Solutions is based on the premise that recovery is not a one-size-fits-all model. Often people go to treatment and are told what’s going to work for them. But, after many years working in the field and researching addiction myself, in attempts to reach the unreachable (incarcerated, socially defiant individuals), not to mention my own journey over the last ten years, it became clear to me that a brand new approach was needed.

Sometimes people are sent to treatment centres that do not line up with their personal beliefs which makes it difficult for the person in need of change, to actually make the change. Furthermore, costly programs put added stress on families and in rare instances can cost a person their life.

The addiction recovery journey is not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. My goal is to make a profound impact on my clients as I aid them in bridging the gaps that keep them stuck.
